How campersAPP works

campersAPP is one app that runs many parks. When you download it and open it, the app is empty on purpose. It doesn’t know which park you’re visiting yet.

The coverage map is the starting point

Every participating campground appears as a pin on the coverage map. To use the app, you connect to one of those parks:

• Tap your park’s pin. The app switches into that park’s experience.
• Enter a code. Some parks are private and not shown on the coverage map. Those parks share a code that opens their experience the same way. See Do I need a park code? for details.

Both paths do the same thing: activate one park’s experience inside the app.

Every park is different

Each park chooses which campersAPP features to enable and configure. One park might have a mobile POS, a games surface, and detailed maps. Another might have activities, weather alerts, and a photo gallery. That’s not a bug. Parks curate their own experience for their guests.

If you saw a feature at a park last summer and don’t see it at this park, it’s because this park hasn’t turned it on.

Leaving a park

When your stay ends, disconnect from the park. Your favorites, personal preferences, and any personal-account data stay with you; the park-specific data (menu, activities, alerts) goes with the park.

Rejoining the same park later fetches its current information fresh. No penalty for coming and going.

What if my park isn’t on the coverage map?

Two likely reasons:

• It’s a private park. Not all parks list on the public map. If a park is participating but private, it will share a code with you (by email, at check-in, or from staff). Enter that code on the coverage map screen.
• The park isn’t participating. campersAPP is offered by individual campgrounds; not every campground uses it.

If you were told your campground uses campersAPP and it’s not on the map, ask the office for a code.
