Do I need a park code?
Usually, no. If your park shows up on the coverage map, tap its pin. That's the same thing as entering a code.
Last updated .
campersAPP is a free mobile app for people staying at participating campgrounds. When you open it, you see a coverage map of every park in the network.
Two ways in, both the same action
Tap the pin for your park on the coverage map. The app switches to that park’s experience: their map, activities, alerts, weather, whatever the park has enabled for guests.
Enter a code. There’s a code field on the coverage map screen. Entering a valid code does exactly the same thing as tapping the pin: it activates that park’s experience.
Same action, two paths. Most guests never need the code path.
When you actually do need a code
Some parks are private and not on the public coverage map. If your campground shares a code with you (by email, at check-in, on a sign, or from staff), it means their park isn’t listed publicly on the map, and the code is how you find it.
If your park is on the map, you don’t need a code. Just tap it.
The code doesn’t work?
Codes are managed by each park, not by campersAPP. If the code you were given doesn’t work, ask the office. They can confirm the code, check whether it expired, or issue a new one.
Do I need to create a personal account too?
Separately from the park code, campersAPP has optional personal accounts. You almost never need one. Everything the park has curated for guests (activities, park map, weather, alerts, messages, offers) works without signing in.
A personal account is worth creating if you want:
- Mobile ordering (some parks offer POS ordering that requires knowing who to charge)
- Loyalty badges and game progress that follow you across parks
- Preferences (units, notification sound) that persist across stays
But you can visit the park in the app, get everything the park has published, and receive notifications from them, all without an account.
